iTheater was an open source media player developed around the same time as Apple's Front Row. It uses QuickTime libraries for playback but is slightly more efficient and unlike Front Row, works on Panther and early versions work on G3s too - I've only tried the last version but it works fine on my 1.33Ghz 12" G4 Powerbook.
Apart from similar functionality to Front Row, it also offers customisation and fun screen transitions.

I am a fan of small programs that do one thing and do it well. This is the 2005 carbonized version 4.3.2 unregistered. Massive pre-amp is possible.

It is fully functional without being registered. Penalty for not registering is a two second sound clip gets added to the head of the recordings made. Typically recordings you will make in high definition and convert/compress format using iTunes so then you can crop off their audio 'watermark' at the same time in iTunes.

AMP Radio is an internet audio streaming client that can play and save MP3 streams. Back in 1999, it was connecting to a tracker to list all the streaming channels by genre. Of course, this software is obsolete as the servers no longer exist.

Their slogan was: "Turn your computer into a virtual radio"

An interesting feature was that it used to work on 68K Macs which was kind of impressive back in the day.

Drivers, mixer app, and firmware updates for PreSonus "FireStudio" series of pro audio equipment which all have one thing in common: FW400 cables. Each one of these packages supports all the models that existed in their time, and the equipment's firmware can most often be updated using these packages. These were free downloads and both the hardware and software is no longer for sale, due to FW400 itself being deprecated.
